The 26th edition of the International Conference on Mobile Data Management is glad to host four workshops on trending and complementary topics. The workshops will be on the first day of the event, on June 2nd, 2025.

The 1st International Workshop on AI for Edge (AI4Edge)

The 1st Workshop on AI for Edge Intelligence (AI4Edge) will focus on efficient model architectures, on-device training techniques, federated learning approaches, and novel applications that leverage AI at the edge. The workshop will provide a forum for discussing cutting-edge research, identifying open challenges, and fostering collaboration in this rapidly evolving field.

The 2nd International Workshop on Cross-Domain Fusion for Mobile Data (CDF4MD)

The workshop introduces cross-domain fusion (CDF) as an emerging topic in mobile data management. CDF involves identifying patterns, trends, and anomalies in spatio-temporal data, including sensor measurements, satellite imagery, or data generated by scientific models with spatio-temporal context. This offers insights into the underlying processes and mechanisms governing the system under investigation. CDF addresses the key aspects of fusing multiple views from different domains using exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies among arbitrary views enabling the construction of spatio-temporal digital twin worlds. While specific aspects of CDF have been envisioned already in the context of urban analytics [1], the purpose of this workshop is to broaden the application of CDF to other scientific fields, as well as to stimulate new fundamental and generic CDF methods.

The 2nd International Workshop on Generative AI for Mobility Data (GenAI4MoDa)

Generative AI, a subset within the realm of artificial intelligence, has undergone significant progress in recent years. This progress empowers machines to craft, imitate, and produce content that closely mirrors human creations. While the application of these technologies in handling mobility data is still in its early stages, its potential impact on research endeavors and decision support systems for policymakers within the urban context is noteworthy. The second edition of this workshop aims to reunite and strengthen the community of researchers and practitioners to exchange in- sights into the current state of research on Generative AI for urban data. The overarching goal is to foster collaboration and establish a research network that accelerates the development of novel ideas and practical solutions in this field.

The 3rd International Workshop on Mobile Crowdsensing for Smart Cities (CrowdSenCity)

The Internet of Things (IoT) is rapidly expanding, enabling services built on data from connected smart objects. Combined with Big Data, IoT facilitates knowledge extraction to support decision-making. Crowdsourcing and Mobile Crowdsensing (MCS) leverage participant contributions, with IoT and mobile devices increasingly driving data collection. Despite its potential, MCS faces challenges such as battery efficiency, participant recruiting, data processing, privacy, and incentivization. This workshop aims to foster discussion on state-of-the-art advancements, challenges, and solutions in MCS, particularly for Smart Cities.
